Dean Harvey and his team of business development specialists in the Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship work with faculty, clinicians, staff and students on campus who want to start a business based on their research and ideas. They provide ongoing support and services such as intellectual property and technology assessment, assistance with business plans and obtaining funding, marketing strategies, and growth planning.
Pat Powell, Lexington Innovation & Commercialization Center director, assists seed and early stage high tech and high growth business projects from both the Lexington community and the UK campus and assists entrepreneurs who are working through technology issues, high growth business planning, and fund raising.
